New Blog: Maximizing Tax Benefits with Oil and Gas Investments
In my latest blog on kingoperating.com, I highlight one of the most compelling advantages of oil and gas investing: the tax benefits. Investors can take advantage of immediate deductions through Intangible Drilling Costs (IDCs), long-term savings with equipment depreciation, and additional relief through the depletion allowance. These incentives are built into the U.S. tax code and remain stable, regardless of changes in trade policies or tariffs. For accredited investors looking to reduce taxable income while investing in a vital and profitable sector, our oil and gas fund offers a strong and timely opportunity. Read the full blog here.

NOG Buys More Land in Texas Oil Patch for $62 Million
Northern Oil and Gas (NOG) spent nearly $62 million to buy oil and gas rights on 2,275 acres in Upton County, Texas. This deal helps the company grow its presence in the Midland Basin, a major oil-producing area. NOG is not the operator but works with partners to develop the land. In the first three months of 2025, NOG also made seven smaller deals, adding over 1,000 more acres and more wells for about $5 million. Nearly half of its wells are in the Permian Basin, where it’s putting most of its spending. Overall, NOG's oil and gas production went up 13% compared to last year.
All the best,
Jay
